Following along. I noticed that you got a Limeworks column shifter back when you were going with a 302 and a C4, Now switching to an Olds. Are you still going to use the Limeworks? If so, have you hooked it up yet? Interested in how the column shifter will work. I am about to install a 351W and an AOD in my 50 Ford and am trying to figure out how to convert the original 3 speed column to the AOD. I am using the original steering box with a disc brake conversion similair to yours.
    Thanks.

Hi, it’s been sometime so you may have sorted this already. Yes I’m still planning on using the Lime Works column shifter. Engine and trans going in the car shortly then going to see how it works on the TH350.

It’s been awhile since I updated the thread but things are going well. I purchased a Heidts 56 inch IFS a couple years back and have just had Rocket Speed Shop graft it into the front rails. Also installed a 9 inch while in the process of getting everything certified and road legal.
The Olds Rocket and trans are next on the list and should be in within the next couple of weeks

Updates? Still interested in how you used the limeworks column shifter but, you may have switched the colum out since you installed the new Heights front.

I have a original 50 ford 2 door that has been for sale quite a while and if it does not sell very soon i will custom it with a modern engine and a better front suspension. It has a very good flat head , 3 speed trans and orginal rear end for sale. I also have a od trans for sale.
