Started swapping out the original rear in my '49 coupe and noticed all but 3 leafs were broken.I know there are bolt in replacements available for around $400.This being the case I wondered if there were any low-buck backyard wizards that may know of a suitable replacement to be found in the wrecking yards for far less cash. The originals measure 48 1/2" eye to eye unloaded and are 2" wide.I understand that it may be wise to bite the bullet and pay the man for a new set,I just figured I'd ask.All ideas are appreciated.
