I enlarged opening in dash for radio -and installed my gauges in place of a radio.

Did not paint it yet I'll paint the gauge plate white.

Carl - please cut the dash & plate , and flush-weld it in place . It will look SOOOO much better that way , and will compliment your Shoebox . Bolted over a hacked-up hole makes it look like an afterthought , and your car is not like that .

Every time a shoebox loses it's originality, a kitten dies. It's true, look it up.

The stock speedo has gauges in it already, the Grand Canyon does not need a bastard cousin, license plates go on the bumpers, and microphones belong on a stage. Other than that.....

Nothing like ruining a perfectly good dash for convenience sake.

the hole looks like some alien creature was trying to escape by chewing and gnawing it's way out. too many gimmicks involved with interior. added gauges can be done properly as shown above. or could have mounted them old school in a chrome gauge panel under dash. oh well, your ride.

I will finish it off like photo "Supersized" posted above

You guys are brutal with those that alter an original -i respect your feelings.

The car is a Custom/Rat theme. Sorry not an original guy

I am not knocking the idea of adding gauges, but I have to agree it could have been done a little nicer. It just looks like you cut it out with a fork.

don't you think they're gonna be kinda hard to see down there? here's a thought: build a gauge pod similar to the speedo and mount it where that (most likely) unused speaker grille now resides. then your clock and gauges will be right about eye level!
