  4. Why does 1 car need 2 sets of gauges in the same dash?

i can be a smartass and come up with a few excuses but they aren't true, i could say i wanted to have two temperature gauges for each side of the flathead, but that's not true. and i couldve said I wanted gauges that would be more accurate than stock gauges, but that's not true either. Honestly my stock gauges didn't work and I didn't wanna mess with them, and yes i couldve put aftermarket gauges in place of the stock gauges inside the speedo cluster, but i didnt want to do that either. Who knows, i might cut up my dash more and make a completely custom dash to keep up with the late 50s early 60s styling of my car, was never really a fan of these dashes.

I'm glad to hear that . Spending a bit more time to do it right is ALWAYS a good thing . Every time you glance at your gauges , you'll be glad you did !

It seems that when describing their car style most people say "RAT", when they mean "LAZY".

There really is no reason to make such sloppy cuts. If you don't have the tools, buy one, no money for the right tools, borrow one, no one to borrow from? save up and buy it.
Post a question here on the HAMB, many here, including myself, will be happy to help.

Now if you did that on purpose, there is no helping you.

BTW, I have the same cheap 3 gauge set up in my shoebox mounted under my dash. its a temporary fix until I can afford to have the original gauge cluster rebuilt.

I cut up my '51 dash and moved stuff around.

    I am happy with it.

Then I cut up another one to hide my radio.

fenders: a buddy back in the 70s had a combination am/fm-8track-cb radio he mounted to the ceiling of his ride. drilled a hole in the roof and mounted a whip antenna right above his "sound system." great reception and you could hear the built-in speaker above his loud pipes!

The blue and green tape decorations really add to it! A white rat hmm most go with brown at least he didn't add another color into the scheme. LOL Anyone put the popcorn on yet?
