Hey Slacker 53, I really like your car, but it is not a shoebox. The shoebox term only applies to '49-'51 Ford cars. NOT the tri 5 Chevies either. Kool car anyway...

    Pigiron,

That car was from a town about 50 miles from me. I saw it at a big show a couple of years ago. It's a really nice car. 6 cylinder, 3 spd overdrive. SCRAPE is what they called it.

I guess it's a matter of opinion, shoebox fords are years right up to and including '56. Whether you agree or not they are basically on the same platform.

I do appreciate the compliments though.

  24. My old 49 Meteor 2-door. 45,000 mile car I ruined, hahaha. Lowered, flatty powered, stock interior in nice shape. Painted it purple, then dechromed it, and sunk the antenna, backwards or what. Also had shaved bumpers, no bolts. Nutz

  25. My old 51 ford coupe. Now belongs to my son. Mustang front end, 305 chevy, 50 Meteor nose, 50 ford dash, pearl white rolls and pleats. Will be 67 Mustang jade green like the interior window moldings. Nice driver. Nutz

No, not right. They are ONLY '49-'51 Fords. I have NEVER heard of them being up to the year '56.

Jalopy43, you gotta' get some Astos and Pinners on that thing or some wires and pinners. It would make the car.
