I'm going to finish wiring to tail section and will need to mount license plate.
have you guys just been mounting to the bumper?
Is there a better/cleaner way to do it?

I shaved my license plate of my lid and used a 53 Chevy rear guard on my bumper (did this on my friend's Shoebox as well). Worked great.

Well I got my car registered and insured and still trying to figure out a way to mount
the license plate. Already got a warning from the "Man" because I didn't have a light on it.
Trying not to just bolt it on the bumper, the pics above are good ideas, but I'm trying to find something that will attach to bumper to mount plate to. Any more suggestions?

I did the 53 Chevy over rider on mine when I had it. License light can be handled with a plate bolt kit for motorcycles that have an LED in them. Pretty clean that way.

My 53 Chevy overrider has a damn good light on it. Somewhere I have a pic.

Like the ones justabeater suggested , I bought a set of "lite bolts" (or something like that) for my old Volvo. They work well , even if just temporary till you find the right mount. It beats a ticket !

Finally was able to find one, 54 Chevy bumper guard/with license plate bracket and light.
    It was a good find.
