I put one of these in my 1950 Sedan and it is custom fit so you only have to modify a few things. The rack and mounting bracket fit great and went in easy. Cutting the steering column was no problem but bracket with the hose clamp ( actually looks like a manifold intake clamp on my panhead) that secures the steering column at the linkage end did not work for me. The only place I could find a floor mount to fit the small diameter shaft was made from a muffler clamp and some angle iron, so I made my own (not hard at all) Also if you look at the instructions they use a 1951 as there setup car so it has the cup on the top of the shaft for the turn signals that covers the spacer/support bushing that they use. If you have a 1949-50 it leaves a gap but still functions correctly. The horn switch actuator is to tight against the steering shaft that you install in the column and it needs to be addressed because of the loud noise it makes when you turn the wheel and the original horn button needs to be modified as the 1951 column they used is different than the earlier cars. All that said the steering is a hell of alot better than stock. I think for the price they need to rethink a few things. I would have been more upset if I had payed full price but got a very good discount at a Good-Guys event and I also sold the reds headers that came with it because I did not need them. This setup worked with the stock exhaust.
