with the talk lately of shop cl*** I thought I'd share what the kids in my shop are doing... http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c80/Danjc/shopcl***001.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c80/Danjc/shopcl***007.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c80/Danjc/shopcl***006.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c80/Danjc/shopcl***005.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c80/Danjc/shopcl***004.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c80/Danjc/shopcl***003.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c80/Danjc/shopcl***002.jpg in these pics the kids are maching some bushings for a trike resto project on the lathe, drafting, hammering out dents with a shop made T-dolly on a shop made go cart steering column support, smoothing welds on the column support and removing paint from the trike. They seem to be having fun and enjly doing this stuff. I try my best every day to make shop cl*** like the shop cl***es "of old" where the trades are taught and valued. Thanks for looking...
I wish that other school districts would see the example your setting and keep their shop cl***es. It's sad to see them disappearing because the school district thinks that the kinds arent learning any valuable information. Im a future shop teacher, and I hope to keep to old traditions as much as I can. Keep us posted.
It looks nice. I teach middle school tech-ed so I dont have that kind of projects to work with. -Nick
