not a trad hot rod but the kids are at least learning some of the skills they will need to build a car - the kids stripped the paint, we fixed some rust through in the seat and welded up the broken forks. Then they did some work with the filler. Primed and painted it. It has some orange peel and the body work is less than perfect but the kids think it turned out cool (I do too!) they learned some stuff and so did I...
Just for kicks install the handlebars upside down and let the upside down footrest become the seat. Becomes a chopper, kind of. Just one of those things I did to my little brothers when I was much younger.
