Looking for a machine shop that can do the necessary machine work and assemble a 1951 Ford truck flathead motor. This is an original 1951 Ford truck flathead with a long time ownership. It was recently running but the owner wants it gone through .Gathering leads for a friend. Shipping will be fine but closer to the Midwest would be more ideal. Any recommendations? Thanks

I used Salina Engine in Salina Kansas when I lived in Abilene. They did all the block work, turned the crank, did the rods and pistons. I put it together with a local guy who was a engine guru.

I bet there's somebody up in Omaha also. Get ahold of jeff @hiboy32

Realistically, any machine shop should be able to accommodate you. It’s just basic machining. Having flathead experience is a plus but I don’t think it’s necessary. Just my $.10.

Jasper Engines used to offer a rebuilt 8BA, with warranty. They displayed at NSRA Nats a couple of years ago.
