shop music to build cars to

  1. +1 to most all of the earlier lists. I'll add a few that slipped through the cracks:

Los Straitjackets - for the surf instrumental crowd

Deke Dickerson - for the rockabilly crowd

Psychodevilles - for the psychobilly crowd

Hotrod Hucksters - for any crowd.

Rare tour, no shit. I told Harley they need to come back to the East Coast more often. Scariest band in the world but cool guys to drink with. Psycho-Charger who opened up were pretty awesome too.

The best hot rod building motivation music i think is a mix of oldies with some rockabilly for example: Deadbeat Daddies,The dynotones,Hillbilly hellcats,The ventures,The derailers,Aces & Eights,Junior Brown,Dale Watson,The stray cats,The hot rod trio, ill stop there but ive got many many more thats just all good hot rod music.

hell yeah! great selection! can I come to work for you? if you notice, my signature is a line from Have a Cigar on Floyd's Wish You Were Here album. all of it rocks! PS, if i do come to work for you, i do not have much sight left so life and driving with me will be a fun and pants-sh*tting moment.

  12. Props to the dude that mentioned Unknown Hinson!

I go anywhere from Hank Sr. all the way to Hank 3 but tend to linger on Social D, Brian Setzer and ass loads of So Cal Punk.

Depends what the job is. Bash and crash stuff has to be with a selection of Rockabilly, AC/DC, George Thorogood, Billy Thorpe, Cold Chisel etc. Precision stuff, toned down just slightly witha bit more old vintage Rock & Roll, Bit of country, like Alan Jackson, Dwight Yokoam. But sometimes, just a good AFL Footy game blaring from the radio, or the TV, if the Mighty Saints are playing. Washing down the dust with a few or more beers, seems to dull the music anyway.
