Its your car bro do what you want with it...Ya black is played out but i dont care i went back to black last week and im happy i did, i think it would look cool i say somebody atleast photoshop it!
Break out some polishing cream while you are at it and get a little work out. That is a nice color, give it some shine back.
Another vote here for Moon discs & Buff out the paint. Is that the original paint? They're only original once. If the paint on the roof is thin, you MIGHT want to consider 'flaking it, nothing crazy (how 'bout silver?). Cool land yact to cruise in!
Check out Tinmans green one, not the same year, but same body style. Car has potential for a kool boulevard cruiser, not a 50s style custom. Pinners and.....trus? maybe starwires too, i like star wires. then if you decide to keep it a nicepaint job would def make it a lot kooler. Photoshop anyone?
JamesD nailed it (still plus on the polishing it out though). That's a darn nice looking car like that actually, probably even a money maker. Maybe a black roof and rear pillars, no flake? No, maybe just keep all blue.
Big flake burgundy with a lace roof, gold plate all the trim, throw some Daytons on it and roll all the windows down...
blue, purple or deep red suede, fat metalflake silver top, gloss black steelies with spider caps and trim rings, thin white walls, lower it.
James always nail it. You see, you either get it or not, there no half way around it! So, what your plans now Jibby?
geez, whats with people asking for color ideas on their cars..cant anyone think for themselves and do what they like?!?
I dont think he was asking for color ideas, it sounded like he already had someting in mind and was asking if someone could photochop it so he could see what it would look like before risking the possibility of ruining his car.
I agree with what James D did. Bring the bellflowers out a little further & maybe some pinstriping. Big cool cruiser.
A bud in college got an old Galaxie wagon from his grand dad - a freebie. It had a huge, stick-on, jumping b*** decals on the front fenders, right behind the wheel wells. He left it unlocked in Chicago and it was never stolen. Gary
