Short GM transmission

hey guys just wondering what is the shortest automatic tranny you can think of for general street use (not performance) that would bolt up to a 4.3 v6

 

problaly a powerglide 2 speed

 

or a short tail th350

 

Th350 out of a 4x4. Oh, you want to put a driveshaft on it....hmmm....

Some of the race Powerglides are real short.
But I don't think the gears are optimal for a V6.
