Good job, Dan. Do you know what ratio came in that Exploder Sport? Glad you've gotten over the tunnel issue. For sure, there are thousands of Fords like yours out there with this driveline, and it's a proven, relatively straight forward, reliable modification. Keep using well known suppliers, and don't hesitate to call them to ask questions and for their advise (and, of course, the HAMB), it's all part of the research. The good ones are more than willing to work out issues with you. Hope you're staying open to a 200 4r instead of 350TH, just requires a little more trimming. GL
Thank you! I am having a real hard time finding a th200 ANYWHERE around here. Not a single one on any of the usual buy and sell sites. But maybe I'll call some wrecking yards tomorrow and see what's available. The more I think about it and listen to you guys I agree on the overdrive trans. I plan on some long runs over to eastern Washington and the coast, so yeah I better just go that route. I still haven't got the rear end in my hands but a local scrapper who I know well that takes all of our scrap at work got me one. He said he told the boys to unbolt everything, so I'll get the u bolts and all. Pretty dang excited! I did see some of the explorer sport came with 4.10's, if that's the one I get I will need od big-time! Hoping for a 3.55 or even 3.73 ratio. Beggars can't be choosers though! I'll call him tomorrow and see about getting my hands on it. I'm also hoping it's a drum setup for a slightly narrower axle, but having disc brakes all the way around wouldn't hurt either.
