Should I buy a Hilborn injection for my SBC? (It has some significant history)

    So I know a guy who ran a hilborn setup on his street driven model a coupe but now he has taken it off and it is for sale for a thousand bucks. It is 100% complete and includes the fuel pump and timing belt drive.

    Plus since these were serial numbered Hilborn tracked down the original invoice and it was originally sold in 1962 to A.J. Watson who was an Indy car legend. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A.J._Watson

    I have seen a copy of the invoice and the guy selling it is honest.

    I wanted to put this on a altered t-bucket that I am restoring and it wont see the street only the drag strip if I decide to get serious.

    1000 for a full setup is good, especially w history. if you got the cash do it...

    Thats a good price for a Hilburn setup..even if you don't use it..
