so im a kid building a 1937 ford pickup and I want some steel fenders. a guy in Wisconsin wants $120 for them but im sure I could get him down a little. think its worth it. im not a very good body man but I am kinda planning on doing the body work while the truck is drivable.

Even without seein them if you got em for $100 that's $25 apiece. Seems good to me. I'd take the chance.

if you need them and they aren't piles of ****. sounds like a good price.

  8. I wouldn't sell em for a buck and a quarter, sounds like a good price if they're close to useable.

$120 isn't bad depending on condition, but you gotta also make sure they're from a half ton and not a big truck, the big truck fenders have huge openings and look awkward on a regular pickup. The rears are 100x harder to find, in any condition.

    No question...buy them.

  18. Are big trucks a different contour also or just the wheel opening.
If it's just the opening I suppose a guy could make new openings to suit. Open up pickup trucks for use on big trucks or close down the big truck units to use on pickups?
    Or am I FOS?

If you need them $120 is a steal, 3 hours isn't far, i drove 17 hours one way for a set of NOS fenders i was looking for a few years ago. They where what i needed, in the price range i wanted to spend, so i used them as a excuss for a trip.

I sold a set of nice front ones for 200 plus shipping last year. They are scarce. Course I got them for free.
Still have the rears to use and a good hood.
You better hop on them form what I hear.

I've wondered that also...I have one fender that was cut out for a bumper iron...obviously not factory, but if I can find this thread tomorrow, will get some side by sides of a PU fender to compare

Without pics, no one could make a determination...I've seen some real wrinkled fenders, asking a good pile of money...things that would take you 20-30 hours to get good enough for paint.

I think that's a good price for those. They need a little work but not bad, worth the trip and the $120 price tag.

Are these the fenders with the cab and box for sale? If you are building a truck, I would buy all the parts if it were me. Price aint that bad.

I have a pair of fenders in about the same condition as those pictured above. So for those, 20-30 hours to de-rust, patch and weld, straighten, fill and prime? Can it all be done off the car?
