I personally would "shorten it to make it proportional", and I voted for that, but that's just my opinion.....

In a sick kind of way, I wouldn't mind seeing that thing painted up like hearse with etched glass and a black curtain in the long back windows. I know it sounds stupid, but I voted for #1. Sedan delivery or hearse is kinda cool in my book.

I wouldn't chop it anymore though, that part looks fine.

I would weld the window post back in and go for something like this:

I'd just shorten it at least enough to get rid of the post stubs and try to keep the wheelbase to a minimum as well.

This sounds kind of interesting. It would probably need a rear door to really pull it off though.

LOL... yeah, I kinda didn't think of that when I said "hearse".

Someone with good "skillz" could probably make doors work off of a 30's-50's delivery/panel truck... or atleast steal the hardware and cut the back out of that car...

Tudor doors is all it would take to make it look more proportional. Or, fill in the rear glass area with metal for a delivery look. Don't chop it anymore.

Glad to hear you say that... If I may suggest...

If you decide to go after the hearse route, maybe you could "move" the bump where the old posts were, to the middle of the opening, or turn the side window into slightly more of an oval or something to really make it look like a hearse. If you leave it more rectangular, it may just look like a delivery painted like a hearse. I know that back in the day hearses were kind of the "original" customs. The body work on some of them was over the top.

The "junk I found in Mexico" thread has a couple of wicked looking hearses in it, and what makes them special is the back side windows.

    Just a thought...

Thats not really the stance your trying to achieve is it? Everybody and thier brother is going for that look. Myself, I dont get why anyone would want thier body sitting so far down between thier rear wheels. Might look better if you made some custom rear fenders to sit over the wheels. That would be differrent. Or atleast i havent seen one like that sitting that low.

Hey Bro, I love the hearse look & my second choice would be to shorten it. It will look cool whatever you do. Shawn

I love the old panel look. I think it would make a cool delivery/panel.

Chop looks right and with the quarter window openings looking so long I think I would shorten it up a bit but I really like the delivery Idea because the quarters could be as long as you want......but what do i know

My thoughts exactly. Shortening it is going to make it look off. A pair of 2 door sedan doors (or your doors stretched to 2 door sedan length) with the pillar moved back accordingly would look nice, or a filled rear quarter window opening for a delivery look.

The 4 door sedan and 2 door sedan bodies are the same length, there is no reason to shorten it.

I agree with the longer doors idea. Can you do a delivery door and still keep the glass?
