I think bumpers can make a car look lower sorta underlines the lower part of the body(If that makes sense!), so I agree you should run a rear bumper it would finish off the rear end of your great lookin' truck!

+ another vote for a chrome bumper. Without one it looks kind of mini-truckin-ish

60-66 Fleetside reproduction bumpers and brackets are pretty cheap. The tailgate is the same so the bumper should look about right. You can find sheetmetal covers for the brackets but they are rare or just bend up your own. I would think the later brackets would bolt right up, maybe you can move them in a couple of inches for a custom look.

    Great looking truck!

Man that's a nice truck.....definitely go with some chrome back there. Maybe just some little corner pieces/ over riders....

Another vote for a chrome rear bumper. It looks like you'll have to relocate the the plate...unless you build a custom one that's lower in the middle than the rest of the bumper. '51 and '52 Buick front bumpers are lower in the middle, and have a nice roundish shape that might compliment your front bumper. I think you'd have to section it on each side, though, 'cause they're pretty wide. Maybe keep the pan there covered with the bumper. And relocate the exhaust pipes outboard...just a thought. Nice truck. -- Rick

they look funky without a bumper on the back, it's just too tall/flat. Stock chrome bumper would be a nice addition. you'll probably need to buy the china **** though, as originals are kind of hard to find. I fixed the picture too.

    bumper.
what about making a nice two piece custom bumber?
thinking something like 2 piece bumber with a floating tag in the middle.

  12. The Sargeant at Arms for Stugots came up with this. I've been trying to sell these 60 Chevy bumpers for THREE YEARS. Well, here it is. I'll just use the 2 ends of the bumper(1 pictured), and not the middle section. Thanks Nish

By vote is for a nice chrome bumper, you have one cool looking truck. The '60's Chevy bumper ends are perfect. Post some pictures when it's a done deal.

I think two shorter bumpers (on each side of the license plate) a bumpette.. about the size of a 60's vette rear bumper (not the whole piece, just the horizontal portion)

I love the 60 bumper idea. That truck has such great lines that the pan just doesn't do it justice.

Chrome bumpers for sure, nerf bars are cool on some cars but those old truck look finished to me with them on it, My 5 cents worth !

That is going to look great. Here's a stock 60-66 Fleetside bumper for comparison. Yeah, I know it is tweaked a bit, I have new brackets ready to go on.
