Eric, I say no bed. As a modified, it has great stance, perportions. When you stick that bed on, the rear wheels look to far forward. I say go with a low mounted rack with an old trunk mounted on the back. Something that could be removed in a few minutes.

I have to say I like it better without the bed. I DO like the idea of a trunk tho, mounted on a luggage rack (like a Model A's) on quick release fasteners, behind the gas tank. My 2 cents...

    WAY cool roadster, BTW.:D

have you photoshopped it with the bed up to where the rail matches the height of the body line on the hood, cowl and door?

It looks more balanced with the bed. I like it. That car is very unique and would look great wearing any kind of clothes, kinda like a beautiful woman..

Eh, I don't know man. I mean its practical and everything, but I like it without. I think the bed looks as it is, an afterthought. If its removeable I would leave it off as much as possible and only run it on long trips.

Besides, once I move down there, there'll be plenty of trunk space in my shoebox. :D

I agree with the bed idea. The real question is, what do you like?

    You've done good either way.
now keep driving the wheels of that thing...

  14. That's funny that this came up. I have been trying to talk JeffreyJames into putting one on his little T.

Personally I think it looks great with a bed. A good place to store a few things and it makes it look finished.

    Do it!!

    Thanks for the input guys.

I moved it up where the bed rail matches the beltline. I agree, it looks better like that.

I still don't know if I like it better....like some have said, I don't think it adds to or take away from it. It's just...different. I do think it helps the balance some. I'll probably do it anyway.

I had considered making a small trailer for it...which would involve making a hitch too. That seems like a lot of work....and then I'd need a place to keep the trailer too, and I'm already out of room.

Why would you want to hide that beautiful tank? :)

Actually I was going to suggest a homemade turtle deck or 27 Roadster Quarters...I like the look of this picture

  29. I think it looks killer without the bed, but the bed flows and looks good too. I think if you do it, you have to make it removable. Hell, as fast as you made the top for it, I am surprised you aren't finished with the bed yet.
