Sorry to high jack your thread. desertratrodder funny you should suggest wind generator .I have a old how to tech manual from Okla State back when it was Okla A&M . That shows how to build a wind generator using a Dodge starter generator from the mid 20's.Model T spindles and hubs. Has a diagram on how to make the blade out of wood . It is a cool book.

wizard sounds like you should post this stuff in HAMB classifieds .From all the interest.Suggestion only make a list of what you got and throw it on there ,just don't quit your day job yet

  4. i would buy a water balloon launcher and unleash the fury on some import cars driving around...afterall those 200 generators will make about 100 Hondas.:D

  8. And if any one is interested in old generators and wants to know if they work, I have a new in the box OTS starter/alt/gen tester, you pick it up here in OK, $600.00 and then you will know if they work. If interested, PM me.

I am going to hold off on digging out the generators this weekend and look at what I have. We had over 2 feet of snow here Friday/Saturday so I have been digging out houses and driveways. I don't think I am going to make it today to go out to the parts and dig out the tarps that generators and starters are under. Possibly next weekend.

Wow, 200 units? How did you end up with so many?

And don't scrap them, you can make more money and find save a bit of history.

I hear the ones with a tach drive cable mount are rare and worth decent money.

I bought a whole tractor trailer full of junk/scrap/parts out of of a old junk yard here where I live about 4 years ago. They were stored inside from the original owner. He took them off in the 40's thru 50's himself. Going out to dig thru them/ sort this weekend. Anyone else need some?

Maybe contact Kanter they are on the East coast they always require a core for generators maybe they would do a package deal.

I am currently running a chrome, one wire alternator on my 40 Ford flathead and have been wanting to convert it back to a generator. Have an old 12 volt that will fit?

Dead simple to rebuild a generator. A Growler can be bought at a reasonable price....

THIS THREAD BELONGS IN THE CLASSIFIEDS!
It was just fishing for sales from the beginning.
Might as well have threatened "Buy these now or I'll scrap them out."

Threat?? I didn't threaten anyone to buy these anywhere here? Any threats in this thread? I simpley asked if anyone is still interested or buying these things? And yes, I am going to post a for sale ad in classifieds as soon as I figure out what kind of generators I have once I go thru them.

  30. Just PM me a list by brand and number. I have a 1934 AEA catalog that's helped ID some oddballs, and GM books up into the '60s. I forget what else is on the shelf.
