I agree with selling the stang also, if thats not what you want, then sell it and get the car you've been wanting
Advise against swapping it. I'd guess that 'stang is a 401K on the hoof. Experience is talking here; while wearing a "kick me" sign a few years back I let a '65 Mustang drop top go. Yeah. BEFORE the chainers & billeteers and Hemmingsphiles discovered them. I didn't care for the car but I'm guessing had I kept it just a few more years I could've at least doubled my $$$ on it. Think that'd happen with a rusty 49 shoebox? I doubt it.
