Projects Shout out for HF sanding discs

I have bought HF stuff along with similar at Princess Auto here in Canada (with an employee discount of 20%) and as a hobbyist I have been very happy. Would love to have a "real" English Wheel but mine is fine. You have to balance the amount of use versus the cost. Great sales as well. last Saturday I picked up a tranny adapter for my jack because I'm not as young as I use to be. Regular price $99.99 CDN. Snagged it for $25.00 less discount. Can't beat that.

Now as a Pro buy the best, lets the customers pay for it, and here in Canada I believe you get to write tools off at 10% per year against your taxes. (Us poor teachers can't do that but hey after 36 teaching I enjoy four weeks of paid holidays and get paid only from September to June.)

So thank you to Princess Auto and HF. Use them for what they are and try not to be snobbish.

 

I'm like the O/P that said 4 H/F 4.5 grinders with all diff stuff on there .Just pick the one you need. Had mine about 4 yrs

 

Important safety tip; we all know grinding disks often break into 3 pieces and fly thru the shop taking out everything in their path. But did you know rubber back up disks for sanding disks do the same trick? I was doing some heavy 36 grit sanding with my 7" HF grinder when the rubber back up flew apart. I found two of the 3 pieces but for a couple weeks couldn't find the third. Had reason to go into my paint booth one day and saw the hunk of disk had penetrated the cheap hollow core door. It sticks out the other side about an inch. Use the disk guards that come on the grinders.

I plan on permanently bondoing this into the door. pretty nifty conversation piece.
