I'll be decking out the inside of the '60 Starliner soon and am starting to collect ideas. It's easy to go with the old stanby white tuck'n'roll, but how about something more? I like the old style fabric inserts or all vinyl with interesting insert panel designs.

    Whatchagot to show?

FYI the exterior will be a blue and white metalflake panel job with lace and fades etc. Wheels are now chrome steelies with spiders. Centers will be blue metalflake.

Kirk. How about that style that has a fabric and like 4 ****ons on the *** side of the seat. I need to get a pic to show you better but it looks awesome. It is similiar to a tuck and roll and is 2 toned w/ the tuck and roll being on the insert of the seat. You kinda get a vision at least what I am talking about? KNUX! It would look ***s in your car!!!!!!!!!

Bench. I got a pair of buckets, then she said she wants to keep the bench. No biggie. It makes the car look even wider inside with the bench.

I'd tend to say that with an exterior that will have as much going on as that, you may want to stick with the cl***ic all white interior. Otherwise things can start to look too crazy especially if you try to add elements/colors from the exterior panel job into the interior. Interior fabric colors when tried to match to the colors of a wild paint job seldom manage to compliment and usually just detract.

Have a look at Rodder's Journal #19 coverage of the Alexander Bros. Pontiac – now that's a killer 60's style interior. CLEAN baby! Just pick up the xterior's blue with the carpet color.

Jeff Meyers '63 Galaxie has the MOST PERFECT Fat Lucky's interior that I'm sure you would love. It was in R&C last year- I don't recall which month.

That's what I was just thinking...Fat Lucky's could add color & pull it off for sure – Without looking crazy.
How about some blue mother-of-pearl inserts in the dash & door panels to add color inside, instead of trying to do it with the fabric?

well damn then, how about some pictures??? I'm getting ready to do a 60's custom interior on a 1960 Belvedere. I'd like some pictures because...well...honestly... I can't read.

This is the custom interior in my 61 Merc done in the 60's by the oringinal owner. Its a bit worn but red diamond pattern velour with white vinyl. I plan to have it updated just as is.

I just got back from seeing Bill Cosby at the Jubilee Auditorium (which was fantastic, by the way...if he's doing a show near you, I highly recommend going), so here are some of my pictures. I don't know if they are exactly what you are after, but it won't hurt to post them up anyways! :D
