    Check out the 59 Pontiac wheel in Mike Zenor's coupe. I wish I had a picture of it. Someone here has to have one. Very good looking steering wheel.

  26. You have not seen one because it is a one off custom resin wheel from the 60's. I have only seen 3 or so over the years and they where usually crafted by the big dogs of customs for show cars. I am not sure how strong or functional they were but they look the koolest. greg

    A fellow club member had one of those fat man steering wheels on his roadster. He was driving along the highway, and apparently the locking pin broke or fell out. Anyways, he suddenly had no steering, and when he hit the brakes to slow down, the car pulled to the right off the road, through the ditch, took out a barbed wire fence and screwed his car up pretty good.

    We were all glad he didn't pull the other way into oncoming traffic...
