Ive only owned this car for 3 years and it has already been through 2 major builds.

Now ive sunk 10K into the driveline and about 4 months of my time from 4pm-3am (work from 8-3) every week day and 8am-2am on weekends...

and ive still got more time to spend on it :(

God i feel old from it all and im only 22

every project i've had i always told myself i would keep a detailed log of hours and money spent.

and my grand idea never made past the first hour or credit card bill.

  4. 4t64rd I like your math.

my main project right now is in it's 3rd or 4th year (I lose track) but I have a running count on cash out of pocket. I scrounge parts and barter alot, plus I have acres of crap laying around.

I am still 29 bucks under $1300. I'd estimate 4-5 grand in barter and about the same in scrounged parts.

hours are hard to estimate. I have a very crowded 1500 s.f. shop. and can't get to my projects when I have customers cars in shop and can't afford to work on my stuff when I don't have customers cars in my shop. I've managed only three days on my project in the last eight weeks.
It's hard to imagine how much I could get done working 4-10 hours a day for 1-34 years. you guys must have some fantastic cars in the works there!

I agree with kopis korpse, "I dont count the hours, for me its therapy".Close the garage door, turn up the stereo, and forget about the rest of the world.

Most of the 34 years have been spent driving it. It started life with me like this. I think the next rebuild will take it back to here. I think it will be cool to take it full circle.

Then I had a weeker, more forgetable "Streetrod" era when I put MustII under it, easter egg paint, etc.... and it turned into this

Then I saw the Light of the Almighty HAMB and now its this.

I think it would cool and take it full circle and go back to the gasser look. I'm currently looking for a stock frame to put back under it. I still have the stock front axle. so it wouldn't be a big chore.
