1960 Pontiac 389 hiding under a set of 55 Stratostreak covers *because I'm a Streaker at heart*. Ghetto gold with bling bling chrome alt and one of a kind air cleaner done up right by Whodaky. As soon as I order them, it'll also run clear red leads........oh and I fixed that there crooked alt. I swear the engine's worth more then the car.........you could say it's worth it's weight in gold.
Small block in my 29 roadster---found parts wherever I could---made three carbs out of something like 15---
I actually tore my engine down for a little R&R yesterday, stripped the old intake and block down and chisled off the 7 years of dust and dirt (its been a driver) shot the block and metal components in a darker red (as you can see in the before I have many different shades of color and dirt) and the 3 duece set up is going on (I didnt think it would be right to slap it on and leave the rest cruddy) its about a day away from being back together in its complete form, the only thing I'm a bit depressed about is my caddy aircleaner wont have a home for a awhile till my buick gets in work...
Damn Paul looks like you are starting the olds collection again. If you hear about any early olds motors let me know I need one for mock up while I finish mine. Eric
I'll have to get some better pics, but I should be firing this thing soon. Crossing fingers for March Meets!!!
will do buddy. here's a more current picture of the corner with the blower going on for real and another showing the Lasalle getting a test fit
My 290 Rambler motor. Punched out to 309 cubes, 343 heads, E'brock Performer intake and carb. Unfortunately I had to put it in the car...
Those are chromed 331 Cadillac covers that I put on the 500 with adapters from Schrader's Speed and Style. Where did you see finned covers for a 500 Cad? I'm not interested in paying $500 a set for them but I'm curious because I was thinking of having a foundry cast some of them.
Oh but Bart, you stole my heart. I actually have tripower under my Chevy for it. I'll slap her on after I see how well Rusty's goes.
Here's mine on install day 2 years ago. Intake, brackets, chrome PCV tubing, mounts,etc... made by me. Runs pretty damn good!
