Love this 56. Surprised it has a Saginaw in it. They use to blow up as quick and easy as the three speeds.....

I will also put a 18 gallon fuel cell with sending unit and a set of Radir cheaters on it, Do not like the looks of the cokers and the recapps have 50/50 good to bad reviews on them otherwise will just be a driver toy

Check out the Firestones. Good looking tires and are not recaps. Just picked up a used set for my 27 T Coupe.

  8. Whatever it takes to get Tom and his Bel Air to the Reunion, I'm all in!
Help drop a drivetrain in it? Tow it? Push or pull it? Wash it (NOT). Need a spare engine? If I can twist an arm or turn a wrench, I'll be available.

Wish I could find some photos of the 56 in its hay day or someone that seen this beast run in the 1960s that was the same time I started to drive and always wanted a tri Chevy gasser style

Cs39ford: Thanks. I'm not sure, the guy I got it from was an idiot to say the least. I'm glad I reduced it from him.

Dooley: thanks! I've had lots of fun with it. Thinking about selling it lately. Let someone else enjoy it.

Here's my 56 with new paint. No longer yellow as in my avatar, It now is sporting the paint job used for the 1969 NHRA Winternationals.[IMG][IMG]
