    Not gonna use some polyester builder due to temperature involved.

    How does one get a smooth gloss shine on an oil pan?

    Powder coat it? I guess it depends on the look you're going for.

    The same way you get a smooth gloss shine on the body. I dont understand why this has to be asked at all.

    Block it with medium block and use a good fill primer and reblock it paint it and hang it on the wall,take duplicate pan and spray bomb it then drive it and let everyone be in awe of your work!
