Here's a rescued survivor from Okie Homa.

 

Not quite inspired yet.

Do you have some more? Maybe some heavy flake....

 

Mikey...I gotta get the old man on the scene...next time, I'll come up Saturday night, and we can stay over...he has to be in bed by around 5, on Sundays! ( truck driver...)
He's made cooler mistakes on paint jobs, then some people's best efforts!
If he can get on board with current technology...

Nice! The Green Chevy truck with the Astro's on it has some of what I'm envisioning.

I am restoring this car now...would love to see more pictures of it...don't have any of the top, or back...inside shots would be great also....supposedly it was in Hot Rod mag back in the 70's also....love panel paint, my favorite....

 

I also scored this barn find last year...been a drag car since new in Texas...would love to find out more....True S/CRambler.

This is the only other pic I've seen of the multi-colored car. You might try to find someone who has this book to see if there's any additional pics in it.

 

man this thread brings back memories of them wild 70's paint jobs my dad used to do, glad i watched him and learned. thanks for posting all these great photo's.

Hahah, I just talked to John the other day (author) and asked if he had any other pictures....I have his first book, did not know that the car was on the cover of the second book, thanks for posting that...I will have to get it! Don
