Here's mine, built this summer, not complete. It needs insulation, drywall and power but at 40 x 30 I love it. I can still weld in the house garage if i have to. Trying to pay as I go to avoid those easy monthly payments. (It's bigger than our first house )
mine is a 30x60 1960's built barn. I am in process of trying to get power to it, Here is what I started with and a pic of a couple days old concrete.
Well, mines a mess right now,but the neighbor left his door open tonight. Just goes to show, doesn't matter how big it is they all fill up.
First off, Roseville Rod and Custom, that Mercury frame is brillant and beautiful! Well, this is a dirty shop, because I don't have a lot of time to clean up behind myself, unless its spring cleaning or I'm getting ready to paint a car or something. You can see my homemade frame rotisere and sandblaster. I got my homemade frame table under the chopped bug. The cars in now are... my brothers(realkustom51) 65 chopped vw conv. I told him he has to have it running before we can finish it! The 51 Chevy is mine , and I'm finally done with the bottom of it, so I can actually do some customizing on the body. First thing,,, 50 Mercury grille shell install.I've had the car since I was 18 . I use to get called a beaner in my little consevative town when I was running tru-spokes aand skinny whites back in '78. Back in the corner is a 33 Ford 3-window that has been put on the back burner because the owner just had to have a Bills Rod&Custom frame. You can look up the threads on him to here my story on that. But, I'm a good guy, I'm waiting for him to get his shit together and we will get back on it. My chopped fenderless bug beside it. I started on it ten years ago, I may never get it done The 40 Ford is the car I'm working on now. It had a great body, but still needed quarter panel patches and a trunk panel. The firewall was beat in for a 351 ford motor , I put it back original. The best thing about this one is that the guy did'nt want it took off the frame, so it's going pretty fast, I call it a quickie almost. It will be black of course. The guy that owns it has a big stash of early ford stuff, he is in his 70's but you can't tell it. He wants the car to look like a moonshine hauler. He put in extra leaves in the back spring. This car is almost a original restoration, but he will have a early sbc with a adapter for the 40 driveline. I'm trying to talk him out of the 15 in. wheels, and keep the 16's. I did a 36 Ford Cabro conv. for him 12 years ago, still looks great. This is my one man shop 40x40 , and my second home.
I definitely get a kick out of seing all of your garages and shops. Here is my garage at home and my '31 coupe that I'm building. God Bless
If you can believe it, this is CLEAN! My laboratory, sanctuary, drinkery and general hangout. There's a 27 t-coupe somewhere in there that will (hopefully) be my next mode of transport. -stick
