I've had mine 4 years and have barely gotten anything done. You are making me look bad. Great looking car. Guess I have to get off my lazy ass and get to work. Soon as I finish the Fairlane it's next.

Heres mine. Not going at the moment.

It was just a Ranchwagon with the side windows (originally a hearse), but I reckon only housewives drive station wagons, so I fill in the side windows!!
    Workmen drive deliveries!!!

That was the original plan with mine: Fix only the bad rust, get it running right and leave it as is, with the patina intact.
By the time we got all the rust out, patched the roof, the floors, the quarters, pulled the dents, etc. it was more primer than original paint! I had to go the rest of the way at that point... Not cheap, but it came out nice.

With only 1,292 Custom Safari's made in '57 they are worth fixing up- You'll get your money back out of it when you're ready to sell.

Yeah I had that thought too. I figure I'll start and see where I end up. It will be cool either way. Hope I never have to sell it. I looked for a 57 for years before I found this one so I will get rid of my other cars before the Safari. Yours sure looks good.

  30. I have 4 sitting out back. the 75 Blazer is the keeper. I've 787,000 mile on it and plan another 213,000. I won't live long enough to put a million on another rig.
the 52 plymouth 2 door hard top will end up being a 49 if I keep it. the 49 will end up as toast. the 53 dodge is all ready cut up for parts
