Don't feel bad, that's exactly the kind of thing I do all the time. I've got a couple hundred steering wheels hung up that I'll never use but they looked cool and were cheap (mostly junkyards crushing out), sometimes stuff is just cool to have and you don't really need to have a use for it. At least, that's the line I use to delude myself into thinking it's OK.

 

I got a set of the valve cover hold downs and want to use them on my 283 but wasn’t sure if they’d be out of place, even though I like them. I think they’ll stick around. I also picked up a pair of the larger wing nuts that look a lot like the ones bolted to the Edelbrock valve covers on that magazine cover posted earlier. They’ll be for my header caps.
