Show us your Deuce 3W coupes....

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by rat bastad, Apr 22, 2004.

  1. Hey guys...

Im gettin' close to paint and need to pick a kolor!! Needless to say, I ALWAYS hate this part of a build up...and choosing the right kolor is such a pain in the ass...

I want a brighter kinda kolor as opposed to a dark one....and am leaning toward an early Ford type beige.....

I'd love to see what kolors fellow Hambers have painted their coupes....

And seude black is soooo common....Im sick of seein' it.

    Sooo....what have ya got ?

you forgot to mention your frame and stuff are baby blue!
off white would be cool, Ford Merino white is a good one...off 60-63 falcons.really creamy white.
what about a few shades darker blue than your frame in suede, with an off white glossy firewall?

  3. Hi LS...

Yeah I know...but the baby blue is tinted primer....now i gotta pick a colour.

Im also leanin to a brighter/deeper shade of b/blue.

    Decisions......aaaarrrghhhh!!

Is this your car? If so I think the color of your primer is just fine. Why not just paint it that color or like said previously just a little bit darker shade of blue. It's all up to you though.

The color on the "Spacetruck" ain't bad either. I saved all the pics of your car for inspiration when I finally get around to building a hot rod. It is very close to what I would like to build someday once my '53 is done.

I thought all your chassis and suspension were painted!
so you have to blow it all apart again?damn.
that gives you more options on colour though....
what about a pastel lemon yellow with black frame and wheels and red grille insert?
Maiki get over here and photoshop this thing! [IMG]

Definitely keep the baby blue...perfect color for a mid-50's style car.
