There's several pics of this car in "Hot Rod, The Photography of Peter Vincent". I don't know, this pick may be from the back cover. It's listed as belonging to Jeff Aldrich.

I'm in the process of building a '30 roadster, Merc. flathead, t-5, 8", on '32 rails, with a Duvall windshield and would love to see every '30-'31 roadster on the HAMB. Keep them coming. This thread is great and keeps me working every night. Oh, and by the way, the one F-head built is not interesting at all..All a bunch of repop shit all stacked up is what I heard. I heard a rumor he had Boyd billetize those Divcos for him, what a poser......Happy Thanksgiving Bruce....get your motor running, say hi to your folks, Doug

Ah, that's what it is. I lost the slip cover so all I have is the bare hardback. Figured the blurriness was maybe due to a bad scan. My apologies to Mr. Vincent. Compliments to your roadster, it's one of my favorites.

Nimrod your roadster is perfect, I think it is one of the best looking I have ever seen.
Mr. 30 Roadster thanks for posting pictures of my someday gonna redo it roadster. I plan on trying to get it as close as possible to what I imagine it looked like back in the day. I don't have any pics but seems like there is a nice roadster body or two in your shop. Looks like Wingnuts is the only one of us thats built a driver out of our A roadsters!

I'm going to agree with BELLM on saying Nimrods car is fuckin perfect! I love it. Its one of few that graces my wall for inspiration to sell everything I own and get a roadster!

This #46 "Singer Sewing Machine" ran at Muroc in 47'. Same motor/trans, different paint. Did have a Graham on it, now has a Latham w/Woodworth carb.

  15. I'm in total agreement with BELLM...!

Originally I was thinking of building my car to that era... However I chose to build my roadster with a 60's look and drivetrain.

There are a ton of awesome roadsters on this board and throughout history that I could emmulate and I'm really happy with my work in progress...!!!

Actually I'm "Very Proud" of the stance and the performance... I'll worry about the body later...!

    Here's my current favorite roadster...!

Ran a 12.02 @110 mph with minimum traction...!

  19. Impossible for me to pick one that's THE favorite, there's so many in each era that are really cool loooking, like ... stock, 40 ties, 50 ties 60 ties and so on. The two below will do it for now :D

IMHO : These 2 needs to be included : Manny Betes late thirties build , and Tunglegubbins fresh sixties-style build :

Many of you may remember the red 29 he built for Danny Zank. It was low and awesome. And it was not bagged!! I wish I had a picture of Zanks car.
