I found a 120v right angle gear reduction drive motor at a electrical surplus store for 20 bucks............... then had to remove all the pump parts and make a bracket for the motor. The mechanical computer has a center drive shaft that was easy to adapt................

  5. ... and the reset works, etc .... you did a great job!!

I'm new to the gas pump thing. Is there websites dedicated to them? How about parts & other info?

    Hi All
Here is a picture of my 1926 G&B Model 177 I finished restoring this past summer(2012). Of course, now looking for another. Just another ADDICITION :D

I put a $6.00 globe on top for fear of high winds(Mobil Globe inside) I also put Red/Green Bulbs for Christmas Season. Also, took some poetic license by using an Axe handle(Home Depot)as a pump handle and adding sink Drain pipe for cylinder filler and sink flange for gas umbrella/mushroom head inside cylinder and finally a 25w bulb also inside cylinder.

Gilbert & Barker. early 1920's. Purchased out of a barn near York, Pa. It had been used on a farm to pump kerosene- and so the "innards" were in great condition. We sand blasted, welded, primed, and painted. The kids were more work; but the little one helped every step while the big one was away at college. The pump is a bit over 9 feet tall- so I didn't even get to ask about putting it in the house. Now it resides with the old cars in the shed.

    :)

This is mine & I really screwed up when I bought it as the other one (that I passed on was a matching(following serial number to this one). Once we(seller & me) discovered this the price went up on that one.

Here is a door that I had extra when I bought my two pumps. It does not belong to my pumps so I just painted it and hung it on the wall with an autographed photo of Norm Grabowski in the window opening. I absolutely love this stuff!

  26. Lots of nice stuff guys. Amazing collections. I'm low budget. Paid more for the sign on the front than I paid for the pump but it's cool. A.O.Smith circa 1963 or so. Leaded Premium for 37.9 a gallon.
