    @Moriarity, So what is different about an electromechanical hour meter from an electronic one? Curious minds want to know.

    an electro mech one has an electro magnet that pulls in and then runs off a spring like a mech. clock. I think the magnet pulls in every 6 minutes or so. so the hr meter can run up to 6 min after the power is off until the spring power runs out....
