    Too sqare? Oh well...

...and even tho I've joined in on the thread, I think the 'Long Roof" thread covers things pretty well. There are hundreds of wagons and thousands of hits over there.

So sick. I absolutely love this body style.

This one and the black one with the green top that sold last week in the classifieds really caught my eye. So dope.

I have always loved wagons. Here is a pic of my current wagon, it is a 62 plymouth fury. it is chopped 1 3/4" narrowed 4", chanelled about 2",and shortened 15"and the frontend is raked back about 6"and the bumper molded in. I know it doesn't really belong in the H.A.M.B. because the body is glass, but i did build a steel plug first. It is street legal with lights, horn turn signals, mufflers etc.. and with 300 lbs of balast to meet 3000lbs it has run 6.60 @222 mph in the quarter. the car is for sale if anyone is interested.
the other pic is this car before it was painted next to my first wagon an all steel car tha weighed 3570lbs race ready,it had power windows steel bumpers and all 4 doors worked. it ran 7.41@198 mph in 1998. it now cruises the streets of England with a twin turbo hemi under the hood. I wish i kept that car for cruising around here.

That newest wagon would look soooo good with 70's pontiac firebird formula twin scoops!

    Thanks JD!

Its one of those cars that looked good in pictures, but was pretty rough up close. I was originally going to treat the rust, patch the holes and cruise it. After all the bodywork was done, she was more primer than paint! At that point we decided to take the Safari "the rest of the way" and paint it right-- These wagons are rare enough, and worth it. She's now very straight and solid, and freshly painted. The seats are getting stitched up right now too. Thats why I figured I'd do a post on the progress once I start putting it back together.
