Here's mine... about as traditional one could get in a way since it is an unmolested original in every single way that had 48,000 miles on it when I got it 7 years ago... it was my first car and daily driver for two years... it now has 74,000 miles on it and drives like a champ... I guess on a board for traditional hotrodding and customs, my brand of traditional goes back to the late 50's where an unlucky teen had to drive his parents family sedan out on friday night, and if he was a scheming kid he might have put some cinderblock in the trunk to make the car a temporary taildragger and even removed the hubcaps to make it look a bit hotter... haha... But as I always say, I got the Four Doors for all the Girls that can't fit in the 2 seater roadster!!! so I guess I represent the traditional "square" croud, but hey, you gotta appreciate a near perfect original...
Same here, I have a 53 and 54 sedan. Had them for a long time. Someone always wants to buy one of them. It wasn't the body style I wanted at the time but I could afford the 53 (first one) and I have made it mine. One good thing about the popularity is there are more parts on the market and maybe increased value.
I've liked 53-54 chevys since I started driving in the late 60's. I learned how to drive in a 53 wagon and a 49 Ford 1/2 ton. Still want a wagon, can't find 'em around here.
anyone know were to get the three circle guage insert for the 54 chevy like they use on JJ's car. looks like its engine turned
I also love these Chevies. I'm currently busy with a 53 210 but this coming weekend I'm fetching a 54 4-dr Bel-Air which I'm getting for free. The first 3 are my 53 as I got and after paint. It's much more assembled now but I don't really have pics of it as it stands now. I hope for another 2 to 3 months until it's done but you know how it goes. The other pics are of the 54 as my friend got it and after some work. For this car I'm planning some major work.
I saw that one at the SF Rod and Custom show last year...great stance, cool chop, interesting rear-window treatment. I'm sure others on here know more about it. Bryan
