Because I have been secretly sneakin' thru the HAMB for gathering info on how to build my first Hot Rod I thought I would share it with you Folks.

It is a '27 T with a 260 cu.in. SBF/3 spd. left over from my '64Fairlane project homemade frame, wheels and traditional suspension. The steel for the frame rails came from under the work bench, steering box from old parts car ('64 'Lane).Nothing on this car will have come from after 1964 other than repops of old Ford stuff, 4" dropped drilled axle, spindles , radius rods, etc. The back wheels are 15x6 1/2 Ford items from the wrecking yard that I reversed in my garage, the fronts I narrowed to 15x5. The box is homemade and I did everything else but the exhaust/wiring (my buddy did it 'cause I was doing home renos) and the pinstriping. I had my friend Dave 'stripe it, cause no matter how much I practice he's better.

It took me 2 years to build this tribute to the car my Dad picked my Mom up in from High School, needless to say they dig it BIG TIME! I painted it '56 Ford Mint Green and Gray primer with the idea that it should look like a kid built with all the skill he had in 1964. It also pays tribute to the '60's British cars with it's English Banjo steering wheel and the Knockoff spider caps as well as the Grand Nationals of old because I love old deep dish steel wheels.

Thanks for all the help I gleaned from you guys and your many Posts, they really helped me learn how to put this thing together.

I would say you did just fine and the fact your parents like it makes it that much better.

Well it's about damn time! I've had the pleasure to take a little ride about in the T, and it's a blast!

theres very few people in our area who 'get it' it would seem haha

I'm doing pretty good, on the lookout for a roadster. After we burned around Burnt Lake in your T I havn't let anything distract me from finding a suitable candidate :)
