By the looks of those tire tracks in the grass, I'd say a reverse curl happened:D
I'm sure seeing the embankment coming wasn't a great feeling.

That isn't the red car I saw in the ditch this morning. It had a lot longer skid marks and tree limbs on top of it.

That's what they all say. :)

  9. You got lucky, i once watched a friend reverse his 58 into a concrete bridge at speed, doing burnouts at a funeral.
You would not believe the huge V he put in the rear end. Right smack in the middle.

Years ago, when I was a kid, I was sitting at the bus stop with my girlfriend. Across the street was a Bob's Big Boy. A jacked up '56 Chevy on slicks pulls into the parking lot and stops. The driver is talking to some other kids when he starts to rev the engine. I told my girlfriend, "Watch this! He's gonna drop his driveshaft!". I don't know why I thought that but "BAM!", he dropped his driveshaft. Now, that must have been humiliating.

Sure does. I watch a friend wreck his new Rambler machine back in 69. He said watch this I am going out in the lot and do donut. Ended up with a light post dead center in the grille.

    Danger! Danger!

Glad everyone is ok. No damage on the car??

  22. I know if that were me in the drivers seat, I'd be sure glad to see the grassy, gentle (?) sloping embankment coming up, rather than some of the ditches we have around here!

Glad you, your son, and the car are ok though! Hope you put a stipulation on that bribe... the big models can get pricey.

x2!!! Good luck when u least expect it... Happened to me several time with my little sister and my mom.... Usually ends up happening while we are at the dinner table and say "just like the time you {fill in the rest)" or ur watching tv and something comes out that reminds them.... So watch out... Moma ALWAYS finds out...

  26. Far be it for me to tell you how to live, But, You really want to teach your child to hide things from Mom?? He will then think it's ok to hide things from Dad, because Dad told him it's OK.
