I realize what you are saying but assuming the tailpipe test is sweet and you take off the heads it will be very obvious which cylinder is at fault because everything in the combustion chamber will be clean on that cylinder. not to mention the spark plug will be clean....all this diagnosing is just putting of the repair. both heads should be removed anyhow, if one gasket is bad they should be replaced in pairs
Hello, I forgot to mention that all of the plugs looked pretty much the same… dirty, a couple of them had clean areas on the porcelain. I plan on learning as much as I can from the leak down tester before I rip anything apart but I gotta admit, so far, there’s nothing obvious.
