Bought the last 3 inch black Bop Top with the drop out rear window. Now I'm wanting to do some simple side curtains. I have a design I did in 1979 using a 1/4 inch cold roll outer frame sewn into the material and going under the edge of the top and snapping inside to the top irons. I can't remember if I put the snap studs at the front edge on the posts or windshield frame. I keep searching for some good pictures but haven't found the right ones yet.

  2. When I made side curtains for my A roadster, I put the snaps on the front of the posts. That was a while ago, too. I used screw in male domes, instead of original style studs, for my custom side curtains.

I took measurements from an original 32 roadster to begin with. Mine is chopped 3”.

Looking forward to this thread flushing out as I’m almost to this stage on my project. I’ve never done side curtains before, but it would be great to learn more about em and maybe have some done in time for trip to LARS this year. Otherwise the full face helmets will be in the trunk…again.

'I'm planning on a pair of side curtains like we did in 1979 with the 1/4 inch cold roll framework inside the material. They worked great., were easy to make and kept me warm and dry. I'll take pictures.

I made a set of side curtains for my Deuce roadster and it adds about two months of drive time here in New York before it gets too cold. I wish I knew how to post pictures to give you an idea what I did.
