I'm having a hella time trying to find something. The door clamp type won't work. Don't want hinge type. 32' post mirrors are to long. Most pics I pull up don't have any. I got a rumble seat so I need side mirrors any suggestions please. Thanks

I have used the door clamp type by unbolting the clamp and mounting it straight to the door.. However I'm not sure you want to drill a hole in the top of the door on that nicely painted coupe...

Haven't quite figured out the new system, but I got these at The Ford Barn 3 years ago. For some reason the three pictures I uploaded doubled up and when I tried to delete the doubles it erased my text. Anyway these are on my 29 Roadster.

  4. Sorry, they are 5 inch round and offer great vision to the rear.

When I got his car it had the clamp on type on the top edge of the doors. That necessitated in cutting a notch upper part of the opening to clear the set screws. Bad idea. I installed the hinge type and am happy with them. Had to fab weld up those notches. Drawback is running into them walking around the car...no fenders you know.

Can you get shorter set screws?

Why not cut down the horizontal arm on the hinge mount? repaint or rechrome! :)

Cutting down the arm is not an option for the mirror shown in previous post. The arm is die-cast zinc alloy and not easily cut/welded.

Ive removed the clamp and screw the stem in with a tapered flathead screw.taper the door edge hole with a larger drill bit,Then to keep it from spinning pin it with a stainless roll pin by drillin a sm hole through the door edge into the stem and pin it.To keep it from rusting paint the drill holes.

Yes,that's what I use, too. I put small rubber circles-cut out of inner tune with a hole punch, under the set screws to preserve the paint

I didn't know the hinge came off. Arm is a little long for my taste. But I want to see what's behind me so I need to think about function. Thanks for the ideas I like them all.
