Technical Side Mount Motor Mount Hack SBC (tech week)

    So after searching for taller mounts for My 49 Chevy AD ---and not finding anything and my shop is not full of metal stock and equipment to cut, stamp and pound. I found some unused suspension energy lower control arm bushing from my G-body build- cut them with a sawzall (I needed a 3/4" more lift). The truck had CE cushions which sat too low and the Fuel pump was hitting the crossmember. Results...below. Hopefully they will work out. The base ring is from rear diff upper arms.     Good idea. I imagine you can find a lot of uses for those bushings elsewhere also.
