here's mine. been working on it for about 3 years now, just found out it may have been built circa 1803. moved it 45 miles to 53 acres of woods. saw 2 black bear cubs there last week. still working on it but it's livable (for a guy)
MK1 VW's (or any early VW's) are like my kryptonite. I just can't help myself. Been cleaning this 84' GLi that I got from the original owner and is super clean for daily duty, but it's For Sale now since I was given a free Rabbit Convertable beater to daily.
Don't have any pics but I am working on a welding table and cart. Also made a heavy duty tool retriever. But I fried the first magnet so I pulled apart another old hard drive. Gonna use jb weld or epoxy this time. I am going to try to build the cart without buying anything. All stuff I had lying around the house. Will post pics when I get em.
I don't know why im bothering with this thing. Just figure i may as well untill someone else buys it. Its a Chevy Monza drag car chassis, with a 23 glass T body, 4x4 diffs and transfer case set up for 318 Chrysler.
Ok, here's mine. Along with car related things, I have plans to get this trike up to snuff. Really have battled with restoring this one, sometimes they are better left alone. 1960 Evans Police Trike.
Be nice, while, miss-lead, miss-understood, miss-behavin, and miss-treated. Jeff the "Kiwi Extrodinar" has it goin on
I love old engines . Here are 2 outboard engines . First one is a Viking 5 hp 1946 , the second one is a Evinrude 1947 . Both were polished on many places . The only problem is I don t have a boat yet , so I have to build one ...
Here is another one of my 'Rigs'. It has "Mog-9" axles in it that I built. A little different than what most Hambers are used to.
Here's the 85 my father in law and I went in on. Bought it from a customer of mine who brought it to me a while back to get in good shape for his hunting lease. Used it for a couple years and put about 3k on it. The sold it to me for next to nothing cause were buddies now.
AWESOME!! A friend of mine is building a truck to run in the series. I break enough stuff just dragging it over the rocks down there!
Built this for swap meets and stuff... Oversized tub, sits 24" off the ground and has 4 wheel steering.
This isn't really my "side" project, its my main project, but its not Hamb friendly. Poverty caps, 450hp 327, column shift 200R4, 4.10s. This pic is a year old, so theres been some progress since then, still needs alot of stuff. Also restoring my dads Vincent. If I had any time or money left, I'd be working on my Ducati, so i guess thats another "side project".
Love this thread! It's always nice to walk away from a current project only to return with a fresh set of eyes. Here's a few I've done. Twini-bike in progress Loppy Rocket Intoxicator Schwing Sting-Rat Mini-bike-bike in progress (no I didn't studududer)

I figure if I was not a HOT ROD guy I would be a wood guy. bought this dresser at a barn sale. it was such a piece of crap they did not even have it out for sale, but I asked if I could look in some of the outbuildings on the property and there it was.. sitting on the dirt floor of a leaky falling down shed. 2 thick coats of cracked paint, worm holes, it had been wet and warped, all falling apart and "repaired" with an assortment of screws and nails over the years. used and abused. solid oak though... oak will stand up to a lot of abuse. no particle board, plywood or veneer. mortise and tenon joinery, and the drawers are all dovetailed, built by craftsmen, not machines. disassembled it and 50 sheets of sandpaper on my DA sander later here it is. just kind of propped up in the photo, there are no drawers behind the fronts yet as they all need to be rebuilt. I will be putting a bevelled mirror in it. I paid 60 bucks for two dressers and a carved chair with lions heads on the armrests and clawed feet on the legs. sold the chair for $200.00 without touching it. the other dresser is worse than this one.. hopefully I can bring it back as well.
Awesome, I've always wanted to live in an old log cabin My first chunk of land I bought I built a shack (for free) out of used tin and pallets. It was truly awful, roof leaked, critters galore, snakes loved it. I lived in it for a couple of months until I wound up getting a free mobile home. Since then I've learned some things about building My last project was building a storage shed. So far I have about 10 bucks into it. I'd rather live in my shed than that first crap shack I built. It's 100 times better.
