1952-59 Ford side trim

does anyone know it the side trim for 53 vs. 54 is the same width? reason i ask is that i love the front fender trim for the 54 but not the back. has anyone kept the 53 door trim and put on 54 front fender trim. i want to lose the customline badge and i like the point on the 54. does this make any sense?

 

i guess by width im saying top to bottom height not the length from front to rear.
