I have 2 pics on the " Webers on S/blocks" thread.
I could sell you the carbs off that, or if you are running a SBF, the whole thing.
    P/M me.

If you want to fab your own manifold you could use some of the big sidedrafts that the Harley guys used to use in the 70s: Mikuni, SU, Dellorto, maybe Solex....my memory is failing me....I know there are others.
There used to be ads in all the Custom Bike/Chopper mags for different sidedraft set ups for the big twin. Some of the small airplane engines of the 50's and 60's used sidedraft carbs too.

  5. Look at the Datsun 240Zs in your local yard. I spied some of them a while back. A copy of a DelOrto I think?

look around for used volkswagen stuff. they use dells and webers that would work good, if you want to do a custom setup.

I'm looking for something that will work on the inglese 4bbl carb adapter that they sell. Hell, if someone else has a cheaper one, I want to know about it!

    Inglese is extremely expensive.

Webers in general are kinda expensive. Cheaper alternatives are Weber clones: the Mikuni/Solex PHH and the Dell'orto DHLA. All a pretty similar sidedrafts. (Although I don't have any real experience with them.)

As a last resort, check eBay.

There is a guy on eBay that has been selling Weber, Dellorto and Solex carbs for a few years now. I have not purchased anything from him, but I talked via email and he was helpful with questions. His prices are CHEAP compared to anyone else, probably because he's in Italy those carbs are common there. Check it out: Alfa1750 's auction page

For example, one Weber DCOM sells for $90, a Dellorto is $65, and a Solex is $45. He also sells rebuild kits. With an eBay rating of 946 (and only one negative), he seems like a safe bet.

I am thinking of building a 3x2 side-draft Ford 300 engine, and will probably buy from this guy. Let us know what you do.

I bought three of the Dell'orto's from that Alfa guy, reasonably fast service from Italy. He advertises rebuild kits for them, as well.

If I have to, I'll build a 3x2 intake for my Ford 200 6 cyl; but I still would like to buy a Lynx #190 intake from Australia to mount them on.

    Later,******6.

lots of british cars used side draft carbs.

lots of MGs and whatnot used twin sidedrafts, triumphs did too.

I would guess that you would want to use a set from a larger engine like what is found in a Triumph TR6, MGC, or any of the big Healys(if they had them)

    carbs on ebay

two sets of these, would look cool next to each other.

Those British SU Carbs are not in the same league as Webers and Dellorto's IMO.
And they would be a real****** to Syncho.
