My wife hears me laughing when I'm on the site. I have her read some of the signature lines on here and she stares....she doesn't get it. I'm compiling a list of them all. Still gotta get mine.
This signature was mine over on FTE for awhile. I got more PM's from guys telling me the same thing you mentioned, than for any reason otherwise, lol. "For the first time, my wife was concerned why I wasn't out in the yard rearranging my projects. She thinks I'm depressed. I'm thinking, if I act really depressed, she'll encourage me to bring more trucks home. See, I may have this marriage thing figured out after all." Some of the HAMB sigs are way better, though.
When I first started lurking here on the H.A.M.B., I laughed my a** off reading post by Germ. So, I just had to use one of his gems as a signature line!
Just changed my sig recently. It might have been a line from a movie, but I'm thinking it was a quote I saw or heard somewhere in an interview of some actor. But the big mystery is, is it what others think of me or what I think of some of them.
Have had several PM's about mine. Many around here are inspiring, many funny, many stupid, I guess we have many. Johnnie.
Mine is what my Grand father { a retired Chevrolet mechanic with a short fuse for younger people}, said to me the first time I changed a carb, and stripped one of the studs while tightening it up. I was around 14 or 15 years old, it stuck, I haven't stripped to many bolts since. I sure enjoy it when I get a chance to say it to some one else. lol
mine came from an inspiration from the guy's place where my truck is, and his '39 pontiac. He lost one of the nuts on my front end and gave me a rusty one to replace it...lol
It's been mine for as long as I've been here, and that's gotten to be a long time...plus, I've met those who are the opposite, and they suck. Cosmo
Someone complimented me on a reply to a post, so I keep using it. Even if I do finish a project there still are others.
