Hot Rods Silver Engine Paint for an Engine That Gets Wet

Not sure what it looks like under the hinge; but could you make a drain tray to catch the water and dump it elsewhere. We made one for a louvered hood and it kept the engine dry. We used thin aluminum, easy to form and lightweight to mount.

 

Use any QUALITY color paint you want. The key is a final coat of catalyzed urethane clear. Good for the duration, except on the exposed exhaust ports as on an FE Ford. Only hope there is one of the 'miracle' heat proof paints that don't really work. Run a hemi, doesn't have that problem!!
