Will 15" wide by 31" tall 15" hole fit and work properly on a 15x10" rim. Will the tire wobble on the rim? Will an 18" tire also fit?

Thank you, great and wise rodders.

Tire/wheel combinations function better and look "right" if the rim is within 1"± of the tread width.
So, with a 15" wide tread you would best use a 14"-16" wide rim.
If the rim is too wide the sidewalls will want to pull away and it'll go flat. if the rim is too narrow, the sidewalls will be wanting to roll off the rim on turns.
Besides, the sidewalls will look "caved in" towards the rim.
    Not pretty.
looks as bad as the lowrider trick of running the opposite setup, with a too narrow tire stretched out to reach a too-wide rim.

Can the tires physically be mounted on the rims you mentioned?
    Probably.
But it's not the best looking, performing, or safest way to run them.

I have a pair of new M/T Sportsman tires and aluminum wheels, tread is 16" wide, never been run. 29" tall. Wheels are as wide as the tires. Friend who started building my 27 roadster was building it pro street. I'm not. Have a set of xtra wide 28-29 Model A fenders also, fits these tires.
